They will shut down their NNTP servers, the hierarchy will doubtless
continue to exist on other servers.

At least a part of that hierarchy is, it is hoped, to be substituted by
a new Big-8 group.

We should watch out for any new Usenet groups being founded to
substitute for other parts of news:microsoft.*, since they should
propagate at least as well as nominally-removed MS groups.
