Why would you need a download manager if you knew what you are going to
download? :)

Speed, 1 click, and a little tune that tells you with your download
finished or failed.

If by '1 click' you mean - selecting several download links and then
download - then I agree. Also: scheduled downloads and automatic
shutdown. My ISP allows me to upload/download 80 GiB/month, but traffic
between 00:00 and 10:00 only counts for 50%, so this comes in handy. (I
also use FDM BTW.)

It even makes D/L 1 file handier. I have FDM set up in "quiet mode".
Just 1 click and the file downloads to my Incoming folder without any
further confirmation or navigation clicks. When you D/L 5-10 programs
a day, it saves a lot of clicks. The sound feedback is priceless.
Instead of watching the tray, I listen for my "file's done!" sound. I
begged the author for sound, and got it. :)

Best damn DL manager on the planet. I wish the portable version worked
reliably.

Smilie noted.

For its 'Resume' capabilities - especially if you are on dial-up.
