Two suggestions:

1) There's no need to post multiple threads for the same problem, as I see
you've done. Start one thread with a name that clearly but specifically
summarizes your question (which you did -- even without reading the posting
it's obvious you have questions about signal processing) and use that thread
for questions about that problem.

2) In general, people here tend to be more responsive if you show what
you've tried and ask a specific question. If your original posting in this
thread had continued something like:

"Here's the code I've tried to write for problem a, but it's giving me error
'The input must be X' -- but I thought my input _was_ X?"

I think it more likely you would have received help on that particular
problem.
