From: Mr Major Thorburn on 3 Nov 2006 02:54 I am getting tthe following in the Last result column on Files By Type reports. Error generating report with the name 'FilesByTypennn' and task name 'FRSM_Report_Task{....} This is for various folders. One of the SRMREPORTS event 505 error in the Application event log reads: The Storage Reports service encountered an unexpected error during volume scan of volumes \\?\Volume{ba359a77-2dcf-11da-a96c-505054503030}\ (volume names S:\). To find out more informations about the root cause for this error please consult the Application/System event log for other FSRM, VSS or VOLSNAP errors related with this volume. Also, you might want to make sure that you can create shadow copies on this volume by using the VSSADMIN command like this: VSSADMIN CREATE SHADOW /for=c: Context: - Error HRESULT caught = 0x80045306 - Volume Name = \\?\Volume{ba359a77-2dcf-11da-a96c-505054503030}\ The associated VSS event 12289 error reads: Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error DeviceIoControl(\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy190 - 00000168,0x00090020,00735070,0,00736078,4096,[0]). hr = 0x80070005. This is stopping a primary piece of work in establishing quota limits for the first time. Please help if you can. Regards, Major (Major is my Christain name ;-) ) |
