If this is to be on a PC that you own/control, add a black slide at the
end and set an appropriate transition to it. Turn off the option to end
with black slide (Tools, Options, View tab in 2003 and prior, Options,
Advanced, Slide Show in 2007)

After the ten seconds are up, what do you want it to do?
