Dear all,

In "Sphere Packings, Lattices and Groups,J.H. Conway and N.J.A. Sloane"
the generator matrix for an A2 lattice is a 2x2 matrix,

M = [[1 0.5];[0 sqrt(3)/2]].

But in the paper "Fast quantizing and decoding and algorithms for
lattice quantizers and codes, Conway, J. and Sloane, N.", the matrix for
the same A2 lattice has change to a 2x3 matrix,

M = [[1 0 -1];[1/sqrt(3) -2/sqrt(3) 1/sqrt(3)]].

Is this "2x3" matrix describing the dual lattice, A2* ?

If I have a generator matrix for an A2 lattice in the "2x2", how do I
convert it to the "2x3" format?

Is there any other good lattice book?
