I don't use them much any more, but they are handy if you read a lot of news sites to see what all the articles are and decide if you want to read them. -- Woody

I've got Twitter app on an iPhone but it's not been updated for the bigger iPad screen. I use Tweetie on the Mac which I like a lot. > I know that sounds a bit like advertising copy - but the iPad itself, > and that particular combination of apps, has really changed the way I > work and read. I'm just dabbling with the iPad since I've had various laptop changes and restores from Time Machine in the last fortnight. The new laptop is a 15" which feels like a bit of a tea tray compared to a 13" MacBook and the iPad is an even bigger (well smaller) contrast. Stuart -- cut that out to reply

Also, > Is it just RSS, or are there other types of feed? I use NewsFire to follow a load of sites - sorted into categories like digital filmmaking, video editing, audio, Mac stuff etc. I've got about a hundred feeds so I'd be unlikely to see what the various blogs and sites have updated otherwise. For me, feeds were a solution looking for a problem. But other people seem to find them useful. > Also, Is it just RSS, or are there other types of feed? Atom is another standard. Daniele |
