From: Pd on 2 Aug 2010 10:38 When printing anything with FileMaker Pro v11 on my wife's computer (iMac17 OSX 10.5.8), the Print dialog is missing the application options, including Print Records being browsed or Current record. FileMaker Pro v8 displays those options on her machine, as does every other application on her machine. FileMaker Pro v11 on my computer (iMac21 OSX 10.5.8) shows the options, using the same printer driver. <http://skitch.com/peedee/dxffd/missing-print-dialog-option> FMP version is the same. OSX version is the same. Printer driver appears to be the same, although I'm printing to the iP5200 that's on her USB hub, and is shared. Anyone have any ideas what might be different between our machines? -- Pd

Nope. New install of FMP 11.0v2 on both machines. > > Has it been installed in Demo mode? No. > Smells printer drivery to me. Is one of you using a CUPS driver? I was, because the Gutenprint drivers are so much better than native Epson & Canon drivers. But I've just installed 5.2.4 on her machine to match mine, and set up new printers using the CUPS drivers - no different. -- Pd

It doesn't actually matter which printer I choose, the Epson SX205, the Canon iP5200 or the Konica Minolta MC2430DL, I get the FileMaker options. Doesn't matter which printer she chooses, she doesn't get the FileMaker options, but they are there in FMPv8, and in all other applications. -- Pd |
