From: Mel on 17 Dec 2009 14:46 Using Quicken 2009 deluxe I have 4 files displayed under FILES in upper line. How can I reduce this to display only 2 files? I can do in Excel and Word but can not find where to change that in Quicken. TIA Mel

As a work around you could create a couple of new Quicken files with nothing in them and then open these two files and the 2 you want to display. That way any other (non-sophisticated) user would think there's only 2 "real" Quicken files. Tom Young
From: R. C. White on 17 Dec 2009 17:04 Hi, Mel. You didn't say which Windows version you have. I'm running Quicken 2010 Deluxe now, in Windows 7. Your file path may be different if you are using WinXP. Look in C:\Users\RC\AppData\Roaming\Intuit\Quicken\Config\QUSER.INI. This is a plain text file and can be edited with Notepad or another text editor. The top entry is [Recent Files]. There are 4 entries there, but my "3=" and "4=" are blank. When I open Quicken and click File, only my 2 recent files are shown. RC -- R. C. White, CPA San Marcos, TX (Retired. Sorry I am using XP pro sp3. I searched for anything similar to Quser.ini or config and did not see what I needed. I will use Toms work around above. Thanks Mel "R. C.
