From: Joyce on 4 May 2010 20:45 Every time I try to attach this particular word doc to an e-mail, the "Final with markup" document is sent, not the "final" doc. I never knew there was a "Final with markup" before now. Even when I save my Final doc, it reverts back to Final with Markup when sent as an attacment to an e-mail. Help?
From: Jay Freedman on 4 May 2010 21:45 In order to have "Final with Markup" go away, you MUST either accept or reject EVERY tracked change in the document. Read http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/trackchanges/HowTrackChangesWorks.html. If you only hide the changes when you send the document, the recipient can (and probably will) see all the changes, because that's the default setting. For the reason behind this, see http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/trackchanges/PublicExamplesOfTrackChanges.html. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. From: Ghitorni on 5 May 2010 04:03 Probably if you send it thru word, it would happen that way. Send it using your email program as an attachment. If the document contains markup when it is sent, no matter how it is sent, it will contain markup when it is received. Only by accepting all the changes and deleting all the comments can you achieve a document free of markup. -- Suzanne S.
