AFAIK, a lot of the work on FF recently is under the hood work on the JavaScript engine. I noticed that some websites with lots of embedded objects and timers now consume less cpu, especially since version 3.6.6. I am now on 3.6.8 which works well. FF 4.0 is due (indeed a beta is already available) but there are issues with addons and I prefer to remain with FF 3.x until these issues are sorted. |
