From: Joe53 on 9 Aug 2010 08:18 Yeah I did do a gpupdate /force so that should have pushed it out. Thanks for the input again. Chris you don't have any other thoughts or comments that might be of help? "Brian Cryer" <not.here(a)localhost> wrote in message news:uUm%23ZAVNLHA.1172(a)TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... You are aware that any changes to the policy take a little while to propogate out to clients? I know you can force an update or see whether the change you made has come into effect today. If its not policy related then I've no idea what else it might be. -- Brian Cryer http://www.cryer.co.uk/brian <Joe53(a)newsgroup.nospam> wrote in message news:O9SzYlLNLHA.4288(a)TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... I can't turn on or off the firewall on the clietn pcs. Thanks Brian for the help but I already made the changes to the; Computer Configuration > Administrative templates > Network > Network Connections > Windows Firwall > Domain Profile and that didn't do anything. Per my last email Cris I had said that: "I'm having issues with the the firewall on all the pc's being greyed out " I can't make any changes to the setting due to the firewall being grayed out. The scripts should still work though shouldn't they? I've done a half dozen migrations to 2008 and this is the first issue I've had with the scripting? It's not clear me what issues you're having with the firewall Regarding Login Scripts...these really no longer apply in SBS 2008 You should be looking at Group Policy Preferences for Mapped drives and so on -- Cris Hanna [SBS - MVP] (since 1997) Co-Contributor, Windows Small Business Server 2008 Unleashed http://www.amazon.com/Windows-Small-Business-Server-Unleashed/dp/0672329573/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1217269967&sr=8-1 Owner, CPU Services, Belleville, IL A Microsoft Registered Partner ------------------------------------ MVPs do not work for Microsoft Please do not submit questions directly to me. <joe53(a)newsgroup.nospam> wrote in message news:OphT0PJNLHA.5300(a)TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... Hello All, I just setup SBS 2008 Standard with Windows 7 Professional network/Domain. I'm having issues with the the firewall on all the pc's being greyed out I've done ALOT of reseach on this and haven't been able to resolve the issue. I'm comfortable in the group policy area and I've followed the suggested practice of disabling the Network connection on the Domain level and there where multiple suggestions and I tried them all(all that I have found anyway). One suggested configuring the local policies for the the Domain level and I did that as well. I'm hoping someone else has a few thoughts on this. Also, a seperate issue I'm not able to get my scripts working, meaning I've created a fairly start forward script on the Server tied the user profile to the script in AD and I can't seem to connect to the mapping in the script, I can do a drive mapping with no problem but that isn't very effecient. Any thoughts or suggtions would be appreciated, Craig
