The MySQL AB has released version 5.1 for several days.

From the testing should not create any problem if you decide to move to
5.1 you replaced (in our installation) files:

libmysql.dll

mysql.exe

mysqldump.exe

with version 5.1 that you find in the BIN of the new version.

In this case: "c: \ Program Files \ MySQL \ MySQL Server 5.1 \ bin \" or
"c: \ Program Files \ MySQL \ MySQL Server 5.1 \ bin \"

The installation of 5.1 is downloadable from:
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.1.html
