From: Paula-cizer on 7 Apr 2010 09:04 I'm creating common templates for multiple dealers of the same product. For example, one dealer may open my "Client Guide" document and all he needs to do is update approximately 20 fields and he is done. I'm using the standard document properties fields for my company information, but there are 10+ more unique fields I need to do this for. I've been trying all night to use quick parts, building blocks, etc. to accomplish this but I am really struggling. I can use a fill-in field, but it prompts for the field every place I use it. I've enabled the "developer" portion and have been trying that as well. Can anyone just point me in the right direction - I'm going in circles and I know I am so close! Any comments are appreciated! Thank you very much.

You will find those controls more accessible if you modify the ribbon as described at http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Classic%20Form%20Controls.htm See http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Repeating_Data.htm See also Word MVP FAQ - Userforms http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Userforms.htm for a more in depth explanation, see http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Create_and_employ_a_UserForm.htm -- <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> "Paula-cizer" <Paula-cizer(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:59197B7B-BEFC-456F-8862-F85D453A2CF7(a)microsoft.com... > I'm creating common templates for multiple dealers of the same product. > For > example, one dealer may open my "Client Guide" document and all he needs > to > do is update approximately 20 fields and he is done.
