From: BetteBoop57 on 11 May 2010 10:34 For some reason, the formatting bar in Outlook 2003 will not stay under the subject line. I drag it down and the very next time I start Outlook, it's right back up under the regular toolbar. How can I make it stay where I want it to? I've never had a problem before, it's just recently...more then likely after an update? Thanks in advance, BetteBoop57

Same thing happen when you start Outlook in its safe mode which does not load any add-ons that you installed into Outlook? outlook.exe /safe If an add-on modifies an existing toolbar to add a button for that add-on, it can screw up [remembering] the position for the parent toolbar in which it is inserting its button. That is, the add-on is modifying the toolbar to add its button but does so on-the-fly when the toolbar gets displayed. By disabling all add-ons when you load Outlook, you eliminate the possibility for the add-on to load and then modify the toolbars. |
