From: Kathie on 2 Feb 2010 07:46 I have extracted data from a PDF file into Excel using Able to Extract program. In the PDF file, negative numbers are stored with the minus at the end., ie., 12345.00-. I need the numbers to have the minus in the front, i.e., -12345.00. I cannot get Excel to format for me. Any suggestions?

Select the cells with the -ve figures..From menu Data>Text to Columns>Hit 'Next' and again 'Next' will take you to Step3 of the Wizard. Click on Advanced> and make sure 'Trailing minus for negative numbers' is checked and hit OK>Finished.. -- Jacob "Kathie" wrote: > I have extracted data from a PDF file into Excel using Able to Extract > program.
