It's my understanding the next version bump will be 5.3.2 once the
ports freeze, for the 7.3 release, is over.

Not 100% sure... (depends on Alex's mood :-))

If you have time to spare, you can still try this patch:
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=ports/144475
(it would be nice if the port would first be upgraded to 5.2.13, and
then to 5.3.2, to allow "business" with portdowngrade).
