From: Ron on 26 Apr 2010 01:29 Ran across these today. New site to me, but it looks OK. Software runs on Win OS from 2K to 7. Note: Portable version doesn't work on XP or 2K without Service Packs. From the website: "GetFoldersize allows you to determine the size of folders and sub-folders on your hard drive. Determine which programs are taking up your hard disk space. For each folder, you can display the total file size and the number of files and subfolders in the folder." http://www.allsync.de/en_getfoldersize.htm From the same author: AllDup - free duplicate file finder and removal tool. Multiple search criteria used to determine duplicates. http://www.allsync.de/en_alldup.htm Tried the portable versions on an XP Pro test bed. GetFolderSize scans quickly, handling an 85Mb logical drive in about about 25 seconds. AllDup scanned the same drive for dupes in about a minute and a half. It's important to define the parameters - the seven search criteria - to get accurate results. Both of these look good at this point. Ron Moore
