From: RineyBree on 27 Mar 2010 11:33 I am using Windows 7 and Outlook 2007. Whenever I search for a text string in Outlook, the search results bring back nothing. Even if I can see an email that contains that string of text sitting in my inbox. Outlook has all of my folders indexed and it should be finding these emails, but it always returns no matches. Has anyone else experienced this and is there any way to fix it?

From: RineyBree on 27 Mar 2010 21:12 Thanks for the reply. I have actually tried everything mentioned on that page, but I'm still getting no search results. -Bree "Herb Tyson [MVP]" wrote: > See if this helps: > > http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA101980851033.aspx > > -- > Herb Tyson MS MVP > Author of the Word Bible > Blog: http://word.herbtyson.com > Web: http://www.herbtyson.com > > "RineyBree" <RineyBree(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:05407415-95BF-42FF-AD2F-E28DC0B206FE(a)microsoft.com... > > I am using Windows 7 and Outlook 2007. > > > > Whenever I search for a text string in Outlook, the search results bring > > back nothing. From: Gerry on 28 Mar 2010 19:25 Have you taken a third-party alternative in consideration? There are some useful and furthermore faster search tools out there... I'd recommend trying add-ins like Copernic or Lookeen. The last on is the search alternative of choice for me... From: RineyBree on 29 Mar 2010 08:13 Gerry, you just saved my life. I hadn't even thought of using a 3rd-party app to handle searches in Outlook. I have installed the trial of Lookeen and it is indeed great - it finds everything and it's fast. I just wish it wasn't so expensive... Thanks so much! -Bree "Gerry" wrote: > Have you taken a third-party alternative in consideration? There are some > useful and furthermore faster search tools out there...
