I have a volume envelope over my entire bass bus track. I would like to
lower the volume of the entire envelope from start to end. There's many
nodes all throughout so doing it with the mouse will be very tedious.

Thanks,

Neil R

If you select the entire clip, all the envelope nodes will be selected
as well, so it will move as one. For some reason, the last node doesn't
get selected, though, so if you want that one, too, you need to hole
the Ctrl key and click it to add it to the rest of the selected nodes.

You might also want to look at the topic "Envelope Mode and Offset
Mode" in the help file - maybe that will fit your situation better.

Switch your tool to the envelope tool.
Highlight the first node ... hold down SHFT and then click the last node.
The next step is most easily done with the buss taking up the whole screen so maximize it.
Then just grab and drag it to where you want.
Yea ... I know ... the numerical readout probably won't make sense until you stop dragging.
It's been that way since 3.0 ... but other than doing it all manually ...

....Well...

You could also just route that bass bus to a new bus called bas2 and put a new envelope on that bus
which will then control the first.

Neil,

You know if you use offset mode (I always stay in offset mode) that this will affect the whole track
like adjusting the envelope? So, for example, you have a complicated envelope on the track - just go
to offset mode and lower the velocity - that will bring th ewhole track down.

Another way to put it - when you're not in offset mode, you see the velocity control going up and
down with the envelope settings - but in offset mode you don't see this. You would "offset" the
velocity, and *then* the envelope takes effect.

This is harder to type than to actually do ;-)
