I've installed it on a bunch of machines and have had no problems. Plus the blocker that asks your permission before installing potentially dangerous BHOs and other add-ons is very helpful, as is the tabbed page approach. I like having 3 homes pages.
From: Jerry Martin on 31 Jan 2010 23:48 Hello: The only bad thing that I found when moving from IE 6 to IE 7 was that IE 7 had a different user interface style that is a bit different from that used by Outlook Express 6 and the Windows XP Explorer. But for me it was worth the move to get a more secure browser than IE 6, although IE 7 isn't as secure as IE 8, and having tabbed pages, which is a great improvement. IE 7 also starts up as quickly as IE 6 on my PC. However, I found that IE 8 takes much longer to start up than either IE 6 or 7 on my old AMD XP 2200+ PC, which is why I'm staying with IE 7 until I get a new, more powerful PC. Please note that this is only my experience on my PC, and may not apply to others. From: Bets on 1 Feb 2010 01:09 Thanks you for the help all. "Bets" <address(a)unknown.net> wrote in message news:ugEpI6noKHA.5328(a)TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... Thanks JD for the URL. I don't remember who told me but it was on Friday. I get told so many different things I never know what is true or not. I'm not an experienced computer user - so much I don't know. If I do decide to download IE7/8 will it delete Outlook Express? Many thanks Kathy "JD" <JD(a)example.invalid> wrote in message news:ezltscnoKHA.4436(a)TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... Google may not "support" IE6 but your browser will still work with Google. Lack of support usually means a company won't give you technical support. I searched Google help and found this: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=6557 -- JD..

Just what does Google "support"? And what is it about Google that you need support for? The browser itself or a tool bar? And as far as IE6 versus 7 and 8, you have it backwards. IE6 is the worst of the lot. -- Jordon
