Please don't hesitate to share any further findings with us. Best regards, Rainer Joswig -- http://lispm.dyndns.org/

After using Mathematica for a while my head has now swelled considerably and I have realised that usenet, and especially comp.lang.lisp, has actually been constructed for my personal use. I will be making daily updates (possibly hourly updates), and will expect my new internet slaves (that's all of you) to privide assistance as requested. As a first task I want you to write a mathematica program to address the problem that I can no longer get my t-shirts on due to the head-swelling thing. I'll be expecting the finished version in 10 minutes, as it's kind of cold without a t-shirt. --your new overlord (Seriously, I can't remember what my original intent was now, but the underlying point, I think, is that I reckon that macro hygene turns out to be a big deal after all, but probably only in languages which have very significantly crapper design than CL. Why I wanted to tell CLL that I am no longer sure, other than trying to relieve the normal intense frustration that using Mathematica induces.)

Your head growth has caused your Interverse to wrap. You are doing Facebook updates in comp.lang.lisp. You think we work for you when we are thinking of putting you on the night shift to keep you out of trouble. Please unwind, bypassing protected forms. kt

Fortunately for us, his head is now too large to fit into one of his black helicopters. On a more practical note, Tim, you might want to pick up a copy of Wolfram's magnum opus _A New Kind Of Hygiene_ where he shows you how to use cellular automata to do explicit renaming. ;^) warmest regards, Ralph -- Raffael Cavallaro
