Frankly, you're about 80 years late. Edward Weston did the definitive study of
peppers before your parents were born. (How much elso of importance he ever
did is debatable, but that's beside the point.) When you'e absorbed Weston's
work, go back to the greenhouse and start again. I'll bet you'll do it with a
much deeper appreciation of the subject than you could have imagined. ;^)
