Yes there are none for the mac no software to burn a disk... > Do you need HD players Yes > Can a blueray player play standard HD? Yes and some have excellent upscaling... There is native support for HD in Macs.... You can however capture and create HD content in Final Cut Pro (very expensive software and a huge learning curve) and "fudge" an HD DVD on a standard DVD using Toast with the correct plug in and play it back in a Blueray Player... There are other alternatives such as the WD HD player.... Hope this helps Of course a PC will do everything, I use Macs.... Mike Peace and Happiness is a State of Mind....

One can edit HD material and burn it letterbox to standard DVD. -- Very old woody beets will never cook tender. -- Fannie Farmer

The HD standard is still "supported" in DVD Studio Pro, though. Here's some Ken Stone wisdom (it's not actually him, but) that walks you through a fairly expensive professional Blu-ray setup: http://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/blu-ray_fcp_fields.html -- Very old woody beets will never cook tender. -- Fannie Farmer
