From: qhe on 2 Sep 2005 12:31 Postponed for several months, HCIE-218x is finished at last. http://energy.51.net/hice218x/index.htm HICE-218x is another emulator for ADSP-218x family fixed-point DSPs. It's compatible with EZ-ICE-218x, but with a few improvements: * USB2.0 interface, powered by USB, no AC adapter needed * Working at 460800 bps by virtual serial port and baud rate aliasing * Thoroughly optimized timing makes it much faster than EZ-ICE-218X * Hardware stepping, no limitation on "last instruction of do-until loop" * Support 5V, 3.3V, 2.5V and 1.8V DSP chips * Work with VisualDSP 6.1, VisualDSP++ 3.5 * many others... HICE-218x is compatible but not a clone of EZ-ICE-218x. Both the PCB and the firmware are totally new design. The timing of EZICE interface is studied and optimized thoroughly, which improved the speed of HICE-218x significantly. Furthermore, the hardware stepping technology is implemented. Unlike EZ-ICE-218X, HICE-218x does not predict the next addresses and put "trap" instructions everywhere, so limitations caused by software stepping are eliminated. For example, with EZ-ICE-218x you can't step at the end of a do-until loop, else there will be an error message box popped up, but with HICE-218x, the stepping just work fine. HICE-218x is cheap, the price will be around USD330. Contact: obase_at_tom_dot_com qhe_at_tsinghua_dot_org_dot_cn
