From: LADYBIRDDI on 21 May 2010 11:12 I'M DOING A SPREADSHEET AND WHEN I PUT DATES IN THE COLUMN IT AUTOMATICALLY CHANGES TO A FUTURE DATE. NOT SURE WHAT I'M DOING WRONG
From: Niek Otten on 21 May 2010 11:57 <NOT SURE WHAT I'M DOING WRONG> How could we be, if we don't even know what you're doing? What *exactly* do you type and what appears in the cell? Did you format the cells and if so, how? Please don't type in all capitals. It is considered shouting. -- Kind regards, Niek Otten Microsoft MVP - Excel "LADYBIRDDI" <LADYBIRDDI(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:843D40E5-EDA9-4978-A0DA-4A0658AFF87C(a)microsoft.com... > I'M DOING A SPREADSHEET AND WHEN I PUT DATES IN THE COLUMN IT > AUTOMATICALLY > CHANGES TO A FUTURE DATE. NOT SURE WHAT I'M DOING WRONG You may be entering mm/dd/yyyy when your Excel is formatted for dd/mm/ yyyy (or vice versa). Thus when you enter 5/11/2010 thinking that is is May 11 2010, the date as formatted shows up as Nov 5 2010. |
