From: carabobo on 16 May 2010 21:04 Hello there, I upgrade my Operative System to Windows 7, so I lost all my Front Page 2003 Files. My Web Site still working perfectly. How can I download the corresponding files from the server to my PC?. I appreciate your help. Thanks in advance, -- carabobo
From: "Trevor Lawrence" Trevor on 16 May 2010 22:44 You need to set up the connection again to your website.in FP Then, when you open the remote site, you will see at bottom right Publish all changed pages ==> O Local to remote <== O Remote to local ==> O Synchronize <== ______________ | Publish Web site | |_____________ | Select the second one (Remote to local) and click on Publish Web site. Although, since you have no files on local, the third (Synchronize) would also work -- Trevor Lawrence Canberra Web Site http://trevorl.mvps.org "carabobo" <azojanu(a)hotmail.com> wrote in message news:C72F275D-49B5-4749-888E-72A2B8D4489A(a)microsoft.com... > Hello there, > > I upgrade my Operative System to Windows 7, so I lost all my Front Page > 2003 > Files. From: Ronx on 17 May 2010 03:58 NO! (unless I have mis-read the post) Publishing Remote-to-local in that situation will obliterate the online site as well. (There should be a warning first, but who heeds warnings?) The Local site is always the site on the left in the Publishing or Remote Site Views. Selecting Remote to Local will publish the right column to the left. If the server site is opened first in FrontPage, then this is the Local site, and the site on the PC is the Remote site. Publish Local to Remote. If the PC site is opened first (presumably this will be empty in thias case) then the PC site is the Local site and the server site is the Remote. Publish Remote to Local. -- Ron Symonds Microsoft MVP (Expression Web) http://www.rxs-enterprises.org/fp/wf-menu.aspx Trevor Lawrence expressed precisely : > You need to set up the connection again to your > website.in FP > Then, when you open the remote site, you will > see at bottom right > Publish all changed pages > ==> O Local to remote > <== O Remote to local > ==> O Synchronize > <== > ______________ > | Publish Web site | > |_____________ | > Select the second one (Remote to local) and > click on Publish Web site.
