Try switching your compatibility mode http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/maintain/apcompatmode.mspx It is a problem with their software being coded incorrectly. Be sure you are using the most recent version of their program, have checked for any patches and/or workarounds, and your machine meets their minimum system requirements. Otherwise, get a different graphics program that will do what you want without hosing your computer.
