Check out pricewatch.com
http://www.pricewatch.com/hard_removable_drives/

They list 3.5 HD's as high as 18 TB's. Of course the price is
ridiculous - $25,000. The 3 TB HDs are about $400. I just bought a 1.5
TB for $104. Why is this article you posted news?

3 TB HDs have been around a long time. I assume it means that around
Nov will be buying 3 TB HDs for about $100. What are you trying to
tell us?

I think right now the highest you can get is a 2tb, anything higher than
that is more than one drive in an enclosure.

Large size and lower price will mean people holding off on SSDs.
