So abundant is volcano energy that just the Hawaii volcanoes alone pack more energy than what the Middle East oil and gas reserves are. And whereas the Middle East oil will one day cease to have oil, the Hawaii volcanoes will still be here as clean renewable energy. In fact, there is more energy in the Yellowstone geothermals than all the energy in the oil, gas and coal reserves of the USA, both past and present. Why so much? Because geothermals last as long as there is a Earth interior of hot magma. The geothermals of Iceland such as that Icelandic volcano that erupted earlier this year and which shut-down airplane flights in Europe, has enough energy that Iceland alone could run nearly all of Europe's future energy needs. So why has the world not assigned engineers to the task of harnessing Volcanoes for electricity? Mostly out of ignorance. Ignorance that Volcanoes are too dangerous. Even ignorance of awareness that they are an energy source to be tapped. And also that we have lived with abundant fossil fuels, with no need to exploit Volcanoes. That era of cheap abundant fossil fuels is over with. The new energy era is tapping into the Earth interior of its magma that can fuel humanities future with cheap, abundant, renewable and clean energy.
