From: brian on 4 Aug 2007 16:19 I have an old video card that I want to use in my older computer. The card is an ATI RAGE PRO from AMC I can not find a driver, and part of this seems to be due to the lack of any actual model number that I can match up with, or the drivers I find are for XP, NT, or something else. I need a driver for Win98se (a win95 or Winme one should work, I'd think). Why dont they use the words "model number" on these cards? Here are ALL the numbers on this card. Hopefully someone will be familiar with these cards. I have downloaded and tried 3 drivers so far, one was for NT, so I deleted that, the other 2 did not work and gave an error message saying incompatible hardware, or something like that. * FRONT OF CARD * ATI pn 109-54100-00 AMC ver 2.0 1998 Ati technologies ns A sticker on a small chip says VGA BIOS The large heatsink chip says Graphics by ATI Rage * REAR OF CARD * FS-SST-ATI RAGE PRO (under barcode) 0313003183 N625 * DEBUG CODE * Also, using DEBUG, I came up with this..... ATI TECH BK4.1.1/4.149T Can anyone help, please..... What is the actual model of this beast? What driver do I need (weblink appreciated). By the way, this card has a video out (yellow phono jack) on the rear, plus the standard vga connector. PS. The computer works, I am running my STB Virge card in it now, from another computer. But the Virge card belongs to my other computer, and also dont fit on this mobo without bending it to fit next to the plastic memory clips. Thie Rage card will fit perfectly if I can find a driver, and I believe this was a good quality card when it was made. Brian T
