From: novice27 on 6 Jan 2010 07:33 First of all you have a lot of configurations that I am not familiar with. I don't notice any anti virus or anti spyware programs on the list. Do you have any? You can recheck any programs that you uncheck from the list. I would start unchecking the one that says "dumprep O-K" & the one at the bottom with all the numbers. When the computer restarts after unchecking some of them you will get a pop up saying selective start up has be selected. Just continue in that mode. Don't restart in normal mode. You can also access msconfig from normal startup mode. You don't have to go to safe mode to do it. The reason going to safe mode is because blue screen is taking over in normal mode. If this doesn work try unchecking others you don't recognize or run your anti virus program in safe mode. When you get blue screen can you view anything from the start menu? Remember, this is just a suggestion to fix it. You could have a corrupted file in the registry. There are programs that claim they can fix it but no guarentees they are ligitimate programs. Good Luck. -- novice27 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ novice27's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/170931.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/windows-xp-support/1289691.htm http://forums.techarena.in
