IE shuts down - urlmon.dll Hi, All, Using XP Pro, having problem with IE 'encountering a problem and shutting down' - module urlmon.dll. I went to Microsoft website and ran regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and the other dlls as suggested. I still get the shut down and urlmon.dll module showing up. Any suggestions? Event ID 2000 Hi Martin I had the same message for about a year then I found a workaround as i am not using the computer as server. open control panel click on admin tools then services scroll down to computer browser and disable scroll down to server and disable.
