From: neil on 30 Jun 2010 07:39 I installed gutenprint as i am trying to get an inkjet printer to work. However, I cant find in the documentation which directory the relevant driver is located in. Can someone please help with this? Also, I have noticed some people use 'foomatic-rip' to make a driver. I cannot find this port and was wondering if it has stop being produced now.

Can someone please help with this? The package includes only the GhostScript drivers.../usr/local/bin/ ijsgutenprint{something}. You may want to build the port yourself, doing a 'make config' first to select foomatic data files (no idea if that helps) and cups drivers. The 'pkg-plist' in the directories for the dependent ports will also give a clue. gutenprint is a meta-port - it merely causes other ports to be built. See its Makefile. > > Also, I have noticed some people use 'foomatic-rip' to make a driver.
