From: Skybuck Flying on 21 Mar 2010 10:43 YO, Today the CPU fan didn't spin up on boot again ?! Just like yesterday ?! Wow, weird ! 1. Maybe asus bios issue ? 2. Maybe windows xp x64 pro issue ? 3. Maybe nvidia chipset issue ? 4. Maybe just cpu fan issue ? (I cleaned it not so long ago, dust only though, on the blades gently.) 4.1 Maybe little bit of dust on the wire cause short circuit ? 4.2 Maybe oil and dirt makes it to sturdy to spin up ? (I did oil it some time ago but simply dropping some oil in it, at least trying on the sides.) It's probably 4.2 ?! Wow... I can't open the CPU fan I think... so I can't oil... and clean it properly ? Hmmmm... The question is: Will the cpu fan actually spin up when the cpu becomes very hot ? (The cpu fan has two modes... mostly... "automatic throttle") I think probably not... A restart fixes the problem and makes the cpu fan spin up again. I wonder how long this has been going on ? It's probably a recent problem otherwise my PC would have probably died by now ?! Bye, Skybuck.

LOL. Bye, Skybuck ;) =D
