From: Daniel Ellis Daniel on 17 Jun 2010 04:14 I have a compatibility issue between these hotfixes:- KB969612 * This one causes the issue. KB974417 KB976569 We require KB969612 to fix the menu pop-out issue with IE8. Someone else has experienced the same issue and blogged about it here: http://www.solo-technology.com/blog/2010/05/23/windows-update-hotfix-conundrum/

From: Daniel Ellis on 17 Jun 2010 12:32 KB969612 is a hotfix rollup for ASP.NET. One of the issues it addresses is the incorrect handing of IE8. Please see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969612 "The pop-out menus are not displayed when you use Internet Explorer 8.0 in Standards mode to view an ASP.NET Web page that has dynamic menus" Regards, Daniel Ellis. Classic ASP only runs on the server, so cannot have issues with IE8. For asp.net Q you could try a dotnet NG. -- Evertjan. The Netherlands. (Please change the x'es to dots in my emailaddress)

ASP.Net is a different technology from classic ASP. While you may be lucky enough to find a dotnet-savvy person here who can answer your question, you can eliminate the luck factor by posting your question to a newsgroup where the dotnet-savvy people hang out. I suggest microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.aspnet. There are also forums at www.asp.net where you can find a lot of people to help you.
