From: wolfjen on 30 Mar 2010 10:35 Hi. In Excel 2007, I am unable to insert a chart. I select a range of cells, go to the insert tab, select Column in the charts group and "clustered column" (or any different type of graph such as a line graph), hit click and nothing happens. To test this issue, I tried to download a chart template from Microsoft, but I received an error message instead "Microsoft Office Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close". The error report contents stated the following: AppName: Excel.exe AppVer: 12.0.6524.5003 AppStamp: 464fba46 ModName: oart.dll ModVer: 12.0.6425.1000 ModStamp: 49d64f6c fDbug: 0 offset: 00308e2b I'd appreciate any suggestions advice.
From: trip_to_tokyo on 30 Mar 2010 13:06 EXCEL 2007 You seem to be doing everything OK. See if this works for you (simple worked example). In cell A1 put nothing. A2 put 2005 A3 put 2006 A4 put 2007 B1 put QTR 1 B2 put 1000 B3 put 2000 B4 put 3000 Highlight A1 to B4 inclusive. Insert / Charts group / Column / Clustered Column You should now get chart on screen with numbers up left hand side and 2005 2006 and 2007 along the horizontal axis. Hope it works out.
