From: Jay Dee Jay on 20 Dec 2009 16:43 I'm using Word and Vista, and would like to know how to change the default so that dates and numbers (1st, 2nd, etc) don't come up in superscript. I've looked in Word Options but can't find a solution.
From: Doug Robbins - Word MVP on 20 Dec 2009 17:07 Go to Word Options>Proofing>AutoCorrect Options>AutoFormat tab and uncheck the box for "Ordinals (1st) with superscript" -- Hope this helps, Doug Robbins - Word MVP Please reply only to the newsgroups unless you wish to obtain my services on a paid professional basis. From: Jay Freedman on 20 Dec 2009 17:08 That's an AutoFormat As You Type setting. Unfortunately, saying you have Word and Vista doesn't reveal which version of Word it is. In Word 2003 or earlier, go to Tools > AutoCorrect Options > AutoFormat As You Type and uncheck "Ordinals (1st) with superscript". In Word 2007, go to Office button > Word Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options > AutoFormat As You Type and uncheck "Ordinals (1st) with superscript". -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
