Update the Measurement system drop down to select Metric. OK out of the control panel. Not sure if this will need a reboot or not. Hope this helps. From: Lorraine W on 21 Jan 2010 10:55 Thanks Tim & Martin; This is the answer I was looking for. (got involved in other things for a few days, and couldn't get back here to reply). I was trying to do a page setup in Sure Thing CD labeler to have the printable area of a CD/DVD correspond to the placement requirement of my new Epson Artisan 810 multifunction printer. Much more accurate to measure the actual CD/DVD in metric rather than imperial. I did actually go to Start/Control Panel/Regional and language options and to the customize box, but my poor tired old eyes just didn't get all the way to the bottom of the list of options. Anyway, I now have my page setup so that my DVD's print EXACTLY on the printable area. Many thanks to all of you who replied and in such detail. I don't know what I'd do without these groups - they are all wonderful. I've learned more from them than I would from a thousand books. Thanks again Lorraine "Martin C" <martinC(a)invalid.com> wrote in message news:4b541dd6$1_1(a)glkas0286.greenlnk.net... | Not exactly sure I know what you mean, but just in case, try the following: | | Start/Control Panel/Regional and language options | Make sure you have the language correct in the drop down box and then click | on the Customize button. | Update the Measurement system drop down to select Metric. | OK out of the control panel. | | Not sure if this will need a reboot or not. | | Hope this helps. | | Martin | | | "Lorraine W" <lwilki-nospam(a)telus.net> wrote in message | news:OtMpHoklKHA.2316(a)TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... | > I'm running XP Pro SP2, and I can't seem to find where I can change to | > Metric measure. I, too, have learnt a lot from these groups, so it is good to be able to give something back once in a while. Glad you got it working. Martin.
