I know how to cut and paste. But at times I have a small text box that I
want to cut and paste into a larger text box. When I do that it changes
apperance to and doesn't seem to be a text box anymore or it copies the text
into the text box I am trying to copy into.

You cannot nest text boxes, if that's what you're asking.
