I've made this mistake many time too and there's an easier way of
correcting it.

If I normally send email to bob(a)hotmail.com but have accidentally
typed bob(a)hatmail.com then all you need to do to get rid of the
incorrect entry is -

1. Start to compose a new email
2. Type 'b' in the To: address and the two bob@... email addresses
will be selected
3. Press the down arrow key to highlight the incorrect address
4. Hit Delete and that's it removed.

Much easier than making any file changes.
