From: teylyn on 24 Feb 2010 20:30 You can use conditional formatting for that. The steps differ depending on your Excel version, but a look in the Excel help for Conditional Formatting should set you on the right track. k i m m e e ; 6 5 3 6 9 5 W r o t e : > I would like the cell to change red when i put a number 5 or lower into the > cell -- teylyn Teylyn -- 'teylyn.posterous.com' (http://teylyn.posterous.com) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ teylyn's Profile: 983 View this thread: http://www.thecodecage.com/forumz/showthread.php?t=182422 Microsoft Office Help
From: Russell Dawson on 24 Feb 2010 20:56 You need to do conditional formatting for the cells In 2007 On the Home tab under styles section select conditional formatting Select Highlight cell rules -between - enter 1 & 6 - custom format (via drop down menu) fill - red - OK That will have the effect of filling the cell with red as required. It will still show the number input if your font color is anything other than red. If you want to have the cell simply red (Ha!) then format the font as well as the fill. -- Russell Dawson Excel Student Please hit "Yes" if this post was helpful.
