From: Pete Field on 21 Apr 2010 12:15 I have a series of similar-named templates - for legal reasons, they cannot be re-named. In the "old" version(s) of Word, there was a switch in Properties that allowed a preview picture to appear in the template selection window BEFORE selection. Is there such a facility in Word 2007? ie, Selecting "New", "My Templates", a selection of templates appear. A single click on each one used to bring up a preview picture. If anyone has the answer, I would be so greatful for the time it will save me! Best regards, -- Pete
From: Jay Freedman on 21 Apr 2010 13:09 In the Save As dialog, check the "Save thumbnail" box at the bottom of the dialog. You can add the preview to an existing template by opening it (Office button > Open, and navigate to the Templates folder), then immediately doing a Save As to the same name with the box checked. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
