From: LZL on 29 Jan 2010 19:12 Somehow my WORD system/program started showing a redline with edit remarks to the right side of the text whenever I tried to edit, such as, BOLD, DELETE, ADD OR DELETE SPACES. I must have inadvertently turned that feature on, but I don't know how . . . nor how to turn it off. Hellp will be appreciated

The keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+E turns it on and off, which is probably how you turned it on by mistake. There's also a menu item in Word 2003 or earlier (Tools > Track Changes) or a button in Word 2007 (Review > Track Changes). To learn more about it, including how to accept the changes you already have so they turn into regular text, see http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/trackchanges/HowTrackChangesWorks.html and http://blogs.msdn.com/microsoft_office_word/archive/2007/11/09/see-below-for-real-title.aspx. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
