From: Chester on 16 Oct 2009 20:42 HELP! I've installed SQL 2008 as a named instance side by side with SQL 2005. Everything says it installed correctly, but the reportserver databases still appear under the 2005 server instance. When I go into the Reporting Service Configuration it comes up with the SQL2005 default instance. I press FIND and get the error "No Report Servers Found", Details:Invalid Namespace When I go into the Reporting Service Configuration manager and enter my SQL2008 instance, magically it finds the instance, and quite promptly gives the following error: Unable to connect to the Report Server WMI provider, Details: The report server is unavailable (Exception from HResult: 0x800706BA) Researching this error, it indicates that the a firewall might be blocking things or services are not enabled. I go into the management console and allow certain exceptions. I check the services and find they are all running. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET SQL2008 REPORT SERVICES RUNNING? IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO HAVE SQL2008 REPORT SERVICES ON THE SAME BOX WITH SQL 2005? PLEASE HELP! Thanks in advance!
