........there is no "Send to Mail Recipient" item available in the Quick
Access Toolbar, there is only the "Email" item which allows you to send as an
attachment but not as inline text.

No, there isn't. Nor did Doug state that there is.

His reply - and the solution you apparently read past - is that the command
can be *added* to the QAT. For details on how to do so have a look at Word
Help on the subject of 'customize the Quick Access Toolbar'... And please
don't be so quick to contradict.
