Ain't that something!

The system was supposed to be authorized only to find missing computers,
but 87% of the photos on file were taken because officials had failed to
turn off the system after computers were found. In the preceding year,
student-council members had twice complained to the principal about
these spy photos. He told them there was no such system.

The plaintiff turned on his Macbook with a broken screen. He couldn't
be issued a new one because he didn't have $55 for insurance. So he was
issued a loaner. That was grounds to turn on the spy system.

School officials would meet to view and discuss their spy photos. They
said the plaintiff must have been a drug dealer because he had candies
wrapped in white. The assistant principal said somebody should warn him
before he got into trouble. She was told not to. She warned him anyway.

So the parents got a lawyer, who sued her and put a gag order on school
officials. The assistant principal can't defend her reputation, and the
parents of other victims, who as taxpayers will be paying for legal
costs and any settlement, are being kept in the dark.

But my way provides absolute proof that it's still disabled and that
nobody has re-enabled it when you weren't looking 8^}
