If you have installed a driver - and that driver is working - it should not install anything for it automatically. It shouldn't need to. -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
From: Lisa on 7 Aug 2010 18:52 Sorry Shenan, I replied to your personal email by mistake. But I really need help, hope someone would take the time to help me out. I can't install the old driver over the new one. The new driver was installed by a new Sony Ericsson software package. Now when I go to and try to roll back the driver, it does not work and when I try the "update driver" it says windows can't find a better driver than the one already installed. I already uninstalled the Sony Ericsson package but every time I uninstall the new driver and plug the device again windows automatically install the new driver. Hope I am able to explain the problem in a way you can understand a non-techie tell it. Thanks again. If you know the name of the driver file, you can delete it from the windows\inf directory (hidden) and then it won't be able to find the drive to install it, so see if you can figure out the name of the driver file. It likely will have an inf extension. steve "Lisa" <0678768(a)00000hotmail.com> wrote in message news:OHnIqMoNLHA.5624(a)TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > Sorry Shenan, I replied to your personal email by mistake.
