From: Joe User on 11 Apr 2010 12:56 I have an OE "account" linked to a Hotmail account. I send a message to myself, then read it in OE by clicking Send/Recv. The first time works fine. After I delete the message from OE, how can I pop it again from Hotmail? I have tried deleting the message from the Deleted Items folder even before I read it in OE, to no avail. I have tried exiting and restarting OE, not to avail. I have even tried Tools > Options > Maintenance > Clean Up Now > Reset with Local Files set to Outlook Express, to no avail. I have also tried toggling Mark As Read and As Unread in hotmail.com. Something -- OE or Hotmail -- is remembering that the message was already popped. How do I reset that state so that it can be re-popped? Details.... I am using OE 6.00.2900.5512(xpsp.080413-2105), MS Win XP SP3 with IE 6.0.2900.5512.xpsp_sp3_gdr.080814-1236. The OE mail "account" is set up as a POP3 server with "Include account when receiving mail" and "Leave a copy on server" set.

From: PA Bear [MS MVP] on 11 Apr 2010 21:14 Note that closing OE and deleting POP3UIDL.DBX from your message store will "reset" all POP3 accounts, not just the Hotmail account.
