Hi,

I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 on a lap top : I want to remove the Shut
Down Window which appears every time I shut down the server.
How can I do that ?

If it is the same as in Server 2003 then you need to run gpedit.msc and
disable the Shutdown Event Tracker: Administrative Templates / System /
Display Shutdown Event Tracker.

Or if you meant the idiotic 'Install Updates and Shut Down' option.

Start|Run|gpedit.msc

Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Update

Do not display 'Install Updates and Shut Down' option in Shut Down Windows
dialog box
